Richard Lewellen (baritone) has won two district quartet championships: as the bass of Pacifica (1982-83) in the Far Western District and as the lead singer of Atlanta Power Company (1993) in the Dixie District. In 2004, Richard retired as the baritone of the four-time International Quartet Medalist, Riptide. Richard became the musical director of the Alexandria Harmonizers in 2003 and led them to a 4th place Bronze medal at both the 2004 and 2005 International Chorus Competitions. Richard now resides in Western New York State and is a full time barbershopper, devoting his time to directing the East Aurora Friends of Harmony, coaching quartets and choruses, and singing with Four Aces. Married to a talented tenor, Christina, they have two small daughters, Morgan (who loves to watch Daddy's quartet sing!) and Bryn (who doesn't!)...just kidding.
